The Civil Guard recovers a 15th-century statue stolen nearly 50 years ago in Palencia

The Civil Guard, in collaboration with the Italian Carabinieri's Cultural Heritage Protection Command, has recovered a 15th-century polychrome wooden sculpture attributed to the famous sculptor Gil de Siloé, which was stolen from a church in Palencia in 1979 and detected while being auctioned for 5,000 euros.
